OUR THANKS
No work is begun without an initiator.
This family tree
project would not have been possible without the initiative and hard
work undertaken by the late
Shri Sivaramakrishnan of Bangalore,
affectionately called "Chitappa" to all. It is his initial comprehensive
work that inspired me to attempt to update our evergrowing Family tree
on an electronic medium. Without the painstaking work that he put in the
very beginning to trace the family back seven generations, and without
the valuable resource of a hard copy that he left with me, I would not
have been able to grasp the enormity and complexity of relations in our
family. We all are deeply indebted to him for his contribution and
foresight, and we hope that by putting it on the Internet, it will be
valuable for many generations to come.
During the course of this project, I have been greatly aided by Shri S.Gopalakrishnan of Andheri Mumbai, who provided me with intrinsic information about the various members of this family.
I am also indebted to my mother, Smt. Saraswathy Lakshman, whose memory continues to function as a valuable source of information regarding generations we do not know about and have forgotten. Her detailed inputs have provided a personal touch and depth to this project.
A big thanks to everyone who contributed and continue to contribute in any way, big or small, to the development of this family tree project. It is, and will always be, a work in progress.
